Electrotechnical steel — the thin sheet steel used at production of magnetic conductors of the electrotechnical equipment — electromagnets, transformers, generators, electric motors, throttles, the relay, stabilizers and so on. Depending on required properties, electrotechnical steel contains different amount of silicon. Depending on the production technology electrotechnical steel separate on cold-rolled (isotropic or anisotropic; amount of silicon to 3,3%) and hot-rolled (isotropic; amount of silicon to 4,5%). Quite often as alloying addition in electrotechnical steel can soderzhatsyaalyuminiya (to 0,5%). Sometimes electrotechnical steel conditionally separate on dynamo (isotropic), transformer (anisotropic), relay (isotropic, undoped).
