The ICEL factory was formed in 1945 in Portugal. Originally for production of knives steel with carbon addition was used, it was processed and tempered on the elementary equipment. Steadily growing demand for production caused change of technologies that allowed ICEL to become in 20 years one of leaders of the market. In 1960 production totaled more than 60 workers. Production of the company began to appear in all largest cities of Portugal. In 1973 export to other countries began: USA, Canada, Australia, Netherlands. Today 70% of production of ICEL are exported to 35 countries. In Portugal ICEL is the national leader in production of house and professional knives.
The ICEL company makes high - quality knives for house and professional use, karbovochny knives, various shovels, devices for sharpening of knives – musata, knife sharpeners). Edges of knives are made of high - quality steel with addition of molybdenum and vanadium, are tempered on the Swiss technology that allows to reach durability 54/56 HRC. Sharpening is carried out manually by highly qualified specialists. Handles of knives can be made from steel, a tree or plastic.

Hygiene. Plastic handles of knives are processed by special antibacterial impregnation.
Do not heat an edge of knives, it destroys steel training.
Use only wooden or plastic boards for work.
Wash knives with neobrazivny substances and wipe soft fabric.
Only knives with plastic handles can be washed in the dishwasher.
