Description

Pro - flax is the monofiber synthetic not resolving sterile surgical suture material and is made of isotactic crystal stereoisomer of polypropylene, a synthetic linear polyolefin. A molecular formula - (C3H6) of n. Pro - flax are delivered uncolored (transparent) or are painted in blue color by phthalocyanine blue (number of a color code: 74160), can have the different thickness and length of a thread, to be delivered in the form of an atravmatika.

Pro - flax is used for sewing up of soft tissues and/or ligation and are widely applied in cardiovascular surgery, ophthalmology and neurology.

Pro - flax causes the minimum initial inflammatory reaction in fabrics with the subsequent encapsulation of a suture material connecting fabric. A thread do not resolve and are not exposed to degradation or easing under the influence of enzymes in fabrics. Because of the relative biological inertness it is recommended to use in places where the smallest possible reaction in fabrics is desirable. As monofiber material it is successfully applied in surgical wounds where there is a risk of the subsequent infection or pollution as its use helps to minimize formation of alloyed fistula or rejection of a suture material.
