Salmon farm projects

Farming of salmon and trout is a cold water aquaculture. The range of water temperatures to be maintained during production to ensure maximum growth rates for some fish are:

• Brown trout (Salmo truffa) 12 - 14 °
• Rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) 14 - 16 °
• Brook trout (American char) (Salvelinus fontinalus) 7 - 13 °
• Chavycha (Oncorhynchus tshawytscha) 10 - 14 °
• Kizhuch (lat. Oncorhynchus kisutch) 9 - 14 °
• Atlantic salmon (salmon) (Salmo salar) 15 °

All cold - loving fish are quite demanding on the oxygen content in the water and the content of organic substances (ammonia, nitrites, nitrates) in it.
