The separator for SM2 - 4 oil is intended for cleaning of mechanical impurities of the mineral lubricating and insulating oils having viscosity at Temperature of 500 no more than 70 mm2/ with (cSt) and also for department of the water which is not dissolved in these oils.

The product consists of separator 2, the lube pump 5, the electric heater 3, case of management 4, the coarse filter 16, frame 1, cranes and pipelines.

Work of product can be carried out in the following modes:
clarifications - for purification of oil mainly only from mechanical impurities (cleaning with clarification method);
purifikatsii - for separation of oil from water.
At purification of oil with method of purifikation as preferential method of its separation from water, there is also partial purification of oil of mechanical impurities.
The issue of application of this or that method of cleaning is resolved in each separate case depending on the characteristic and extent of pollution of oil, at the same time it is recommended:
- at considerable pollution of oil mechanical impurities and contents of water in it less than 0,5% - at first cleaning with clarification method;
- at the content in water oil more than 0,5% - at first separation from water by purifikation method;
- in need of separation of oil from water and cleaning of mechanical impurities - at first it is necessary to make separations from water by purifikation method, then cleaning - clarification method.
During the work of product in the clarification mode dirty oil via the entrance crane and the coarse filter is sucked in by the pump from the capacity of dirty oil and forced in the electric heater. The warmed - up oil from the electric heater on the pipeline comes to separator drum. The drum is the main working body of separator in which there is separation of oil from water or its cleaning of mechanical impurities. The oil purified in drum merges in the camera of neat oil of oil pan from where it is pumped out by the pump and moves in the capacity of neat oil.
The mechanical impurities which have separated in separator drum from oil are postponed in the form of deposit on inner cylindrical surface of the body of drum. In case of excessive oil supply in drum (more its capacity), drum it is overflowed, at the same time there is intensive zabryzgivaniye of glory - hole of supervision of overflow. In this case it is necessary to reduce oil supply by partial overlapping of the entrance crane before disappearance of plentiful "rain" on glory - hole glass.
The oil accumulating in operating time in separator bowl on the pipeline via the gate is dumped in the pallet.
During the work of product in the purifikation mode difference of working process from described above consists that in the reel assembled in this case on the purifikation mode there is division of two liquid environments - waters and oils. Via the camera of the separated water on the pipeline via the gate 11 it is dewatered in the special receiver or in drain of the industrial sewerage. For ensuring process of purifikation in drum the water seal is surely created.
