Chemical formula - NaOCl
Sodium hypochlorite (sodium hlornovatistokisly) - inorganic compound, sodium salt of hlornovatisty acid. The trivial (historical) name of water solution of salt — "a labarrakova water" or "zhavelevy water".
Connection in a free state is very unstable, is usually used in the videvodny solution having a characteristic pungent smell of chlorine and possessing high corrosion properties.

Connection — a strong oxidizer, contains 95,2% of active chlorine. Possesses antiseptic and disinfecting action. It is used as household and industrial bleach and a disinfectant, means of cleaning and disinfecting of water, an oxidizer for some processes of industrial chemical production. As the bactericidal and sterilizing means is applied in medicine, the food industry and agriculture.
Transportation: Hypochlorite of sodium has to be transported and be stored in protected from light, special polyethylene, steel gummed or others, the capacities covered with corrosion-resistant materials filled for 90% of volume and equipped with a vozdushnik for dumping of the oxygen which is formed at disintegration.
