Steklotekstolit STEF-1 of 6-10 mmGeneral information of Steklotekstolit is the layered sheet material consisting of two or more layers of the fiber glass fabric laid by the parallel layers impregnated and which are stuck together among themselves under high pressure polymeric thermoreactive pitch. By the principle of primary appointment steklotekstolit it is possible to divide into two main types: electrotechnical and constructional. Steklotekstolit is issued in the form of sheets of various sizes and thickness. Further processing of sheets in details and products is carried out generally by methods of machining or a shtampovaniye. The main advantages of Steklotekstolit - the magnificent environmentally friendly composite plastic possessing one of the highest dielectric and mechanical rates among plastic, high resistance to action of hostile environment, moisture (it can be operated in water), durability (practically does not lose the properties at operation within 20 years and more). Now steklotekstolit has wide circulation in various branches of the national economy: in radio - and electrical equipment, aviation and rocketry, shipbuilding, metallurgy. The scope and Steklotekstolita's brands of the STEF, STEF-1, STEF-U brands are issued on the basis of epoxy and are intended for production of various details and products of electrotechnical appointment using air in the conditions of normal relative humidity at-60 - +35 °C, tension of electric current over 1000 V and the frequency of 50 Hz and the increased humidity in the range of temperatures from -60 °C to 155 °C and voltage no more than 1000 V and frequency of current of 50 Hz. The STEF, STEF-1, STEF-U brands have high mechanical durability, differ in high stability of electric properties at the increased humidity. The brand of a steklotekstolit STEF-1-differs from STEF in more uniform small internal and superficial structure. The STEF-U brand differs from STEF and STEF-1 in higher mechanical and electrotechnical properties and wider range of thickness of sheets (from 0,35 to 100 mm). The STT and ST-ETF brand on the basis of epoksitrifenolny pitch differ from STEF, STEF-1, STEF-U in ability to be operated at more high temperatures (to 180 °C) and have higher moisture resistance and ability to keep the properties at operation in the conditions of tropical climate. Steklotekstolit KACT-B produced on the basis of the phenolic pitch modified to polyvinylbutyrals has the increased mechanical properties and it is applied as constructional material. It is processed grinding, milling, drilling, and also stamped (punch and cut down). The STEB brand has the lowered combustibility, its modification is used by STEB-OP-R for production of lakosazhevy resistors, and modification of STEB-OP-P - for laying and payments in radio electronics. STEF-P - semiconducting steklotekstolit, used for consolidation of statorny windings of hydrogenerators. STEF-PV - the semiconducting material used for consolidation of windings in grooves of stators of high-voltage electrical machines.
