is the completing part of running systems of cars with the caterpillar principle. The main loading at the movement of equipment is the share of basic skating rinks. They serve for transfer of force of weight through caterpillars on a basic surface (soil): perceiving the car weight, a skating rink basic distributes it on the caterpillar mechanism, carries out function of reduction of resistance to the movement of the car on caterpillars.
Almost each sample of caterpillar equipment has basic skating rinks. Application of basic skating rinks especially is repaid when the equipment carries out work in difficult landscape conditions, uneven soil. At the correct distribution of load of basic skating rinks the car is balanced and steady against action of foreign forces. Thanks to basic skating rinks there is no frequent slipping of boots that results in higher stability of equipment on any surface. Certainly, stability depends also on width of a caterpillar. But basic skating rinks in case of ruptures of tracks do not allow caterpillars to come off completely.
Today release of three types of basic skating rinks of HITACHI, various on a structure and on specifics of the carried-out functions is carried out:
• basic skating rinks for standard caterpillar equipment;
• skating rinks for the equipment used for work under trying conditions;
• basic skating rinks for caterpillars with the expanded basis (base);
Developments on improvement of basic skating rinks actively continue. The basic skating rinks filled with oil were so developed. Operation of such skating rinks can be carried out at a low temperature (-50 °C); during the work in normal conditions skating rinks do not demand refueling during all operational term. Experts work on improvement of working surfaces, using new types of materials. As a result of developments reliable, high-quality spare parts turn out.
